Selection and Open Enrollment
If a lottery is necessary, it shall take place at the administrative offices. All parents will have the opportunity to be present during the lottery selection process, and will be notified at least seven days in advance of the date, time, and location of the lottery. All parents of children who are selected in the lottery will be notified of the selection within seven days of the lottery. Parents will have seven days to contact the school regarding their decision to enroll their children in the Virtual Schoolhouse. If a parent does not respond within seven days of notification, the school will select another child from the lottery in the order that the child’s name was drawn. A waiting list will be formed based upon the order in which the applicants’ names were drawn in the lottery.
